Should we have groups for game modes as well as our normal groups?

We were talking about maybe having our normal groups A-E for team deathmatches and the like, then also having maybe a team for HQ and S&D for anyone who wants to do that.
if anyone is interested in signing up for an individual game mode as well as their normal team let me know.

I think that's a good idea, I quite like playing HQ matches, but it's only ever really an option when playing with a team or with friends, since it realies heavily on co-operation.

I like the idea about teams for indiv game types. But I dont think we need the normal groups if we do this. I dont see a point in having multiple groups for multi. purposes.

What would it hurt having 1 set of groups whether its the normal groups or game types.

but then if like you say we only kept one set of groups, and say group A was given S&D, that means they can ONLY play S&D, which might be a bit unfair.
If we ask everyone in the group if they are ok with only playing one game type and everyone agrees, then sure no probs.
I know if say one guy from group A wanted to play the game type of group B and there was a guy in B thinking the same about group A then they could switch, but the teams have kinda been put together carefully. i dunno if everyone who wants to play say S&D will be able to cos we might have jumbled up classes and all the stuff we thought about when mking the teams will be thrown out the window.

still, it does seem a good idea to stick to only one set of groups cos its much easier, but i dont know if people will be happy being limited to only one game type.

if we do decide to that though then I will lead the HQ team as its pretty much all I play.
GUYS IN MY TEAM HOW WOULD YOU FEEL ABOUT OUR TEAM TURNING INTO A HQ TEAM? IF NOT WE'LL STAY NORMAL.

I'd be happy enough playing HQ but I don't want that to be the only game we play, team deathmatch is my favourite, and I don't wanna play nothing but HQ.

that was my thinking track, maybe we should stick to having normal groups but have maybe a group preference game mode, one that the team plays more often than the rest but still plays the others from time to time.

Or, whenever we're all together and playing a game, woever's hosting could just say "so what do you chaps wanna play?" lol

looks like we'll just stick to normal groups then. every once in a while when our groups are together we can just ask what we all wanna play and maybe choose a game mode from there. no official "this group has to play this mode".

Why would be concerned about people playing a lot? If they are the best they need to represent the clan and play on gamebattles so we don't have a gay record. We should just do gametypes and restrict them to one gametype only. Tryouts for each gametype every so often so the best play and the others still can get a chance to prove themselves.

yes we do need our best for gamebattles but no one really wants to be restricted to only playing 1 game type, they want a bit more freedom.
anyway, for the gamebattles matches arent they best of 5 in like 5 different game modes so we wouldnt really need specialised groups anyhow?

The best solution that I can see is to have a different team specialize in a game type. Now, ideally, our guys should be good at every game type, but some game types require more corporation then others.

For example, we could have Group E specialize in S&D, but they should also be good at Team Deathmatch, and any other basic game type. This way, we don't restrict people to one game type, but that we have a good-to-team if we have to.

I guess that would be fair,ill think about it

if we're gonna do that, my group can be the HQ group (unless anyone in my team is strongly against it). also got interest from track whos in my group for HQ

I'll be in the SnD team, Hardcore, or TDM.

I think devoloping gametype teams would be much better... all I want to play is S&D. Most people don't want to play everything... Most people would just want to stick to one. And anyways when you set up gamebattles matches you can choose your gametypes and other settings and it finds teams... it doesn't do it random.. it just picks the maps for you for the gametype you pick. I think making gametype teams would be much better and then more people would get more playing time.. seeing as you would be able to try out for all the different gametypes thats a lot of chances to play.
